1. Maintenance cycle of lifting equipment
Maintenance of lifting equipment needs to be planned according to the frequency of use, working environment and equipment type, and is usually divided into the following three categories:
1. Daily inspection (before each shift):
- Check whether the wire rope is broken or deformed (the number of broken wires exceeds 10% specified in GB/T 5972 and must be replaced).
- Test the sensitivity of the brake to ensure that there is no slippage (the braking distance must be ≤1.5 times the rated value).
- Observe whether the welds and bolts of the steel structure are loose (refer to GB/T 3811-2008).
2. Monthly maintenance (every 30 days or 200 working hours):
- Lubricate all bearings and gears (use ISO VG 220 grade lubricant).
- Calibrate limit switches and overload protection devices (error must be ≤±3%).
- Clean the dust in the electrical cabinet and check the insulation resistance of the line (≥1MΩ).
3. Annual overhaul (every 12 months or 2000 working hours):
- Entrust a professional organization to test the main beam deflection (mid-span deflection ≤ S/700, S is the span).
- Replace the hydraulic system filter (refer to ISO 4406 cleanliness standard).
- Fully disassemble and check the reducer gear wear (tooth thickness wear ≤ 15% of the original thickness).

II. Maintenance precautions (classified by components)
1. Wire rope:
- Avoid twisting or overloading, and apply anti-rust grease regularly (at least once a month).
- Scrap standard: 6 strands of rope with broken wires/twist pitch, or a 7% reduction in diameter.
2. Braking system:
- The hydraulic brake needs to check the oil level and sealing (refill oil once a quarter).
- Friction plate thickness < 50% of the original thickness is mandatory replacement.
3. Electrical safety:
- Waterproof test is required before the rainy season (IP54 protection level or above).
- The temperature rise of the motor shall not exceed the nameplate calibration value (usually ≤80℃).
4. Environmental adaptability:
- Salt spray corrosion protection treatment is required in coastal areas (such as zinc coating ≥80μm).
- Low-temperature hydraulic oil (pour point ≤-30℃) should be used in environments below -20℃.
III. Extension suggestions
- Digital management: Use IoT sensors to monitor load and vibration data in real time, and predictive maintenance can reduce the failure rate by 30% (according to the 2023 study of the Journal of China Engineering Machinery).
- Personnel training: Operators must be certified (Q2 special equipment operation certificate) and retrained once every 2 years.
